Stephanie Adleson

Biography

With over 10 years of experience working in fashion, Stephanie Adleson has developed a broad knowledge by working in many different facets of the industry. Starting in retail at the age of 16 to satiate her desire to be around clothes (and get a store discount!) her obvious passion lead to offers of more and more responsibility including visual merchandising and eventually assisting as a buyer at Fred Segal. After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, studying Sociology and Philosophy she spent the summer in Paris studying Styling and Trend Forecasting.

After returning to Los Angeles, she started working for the world renowned, renegade clothing line, Libertine, where she has continued to work for nearly 7 years. Being at such a small and unique brand has provided her the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of an international fashion brand, refining her eye for style while gaining priceless insight and business knowledge of the complex world of fashion.

The one constant that has run throughout the various different roles that Stephanie has played is her insatiable desire to acquire distinctive vintage clothing. Hating nothing more than the possibility of being dressed like someone else and being a bit stylistically schizophrenic she continually acquires a wide variety of clothing and accessories. Running the gamut from 50’s housewife to 80’s leather-clad rocker chick the only thing that most of these pieces have in common is that they will not go unnoticed. After receiving a growing number of requests from friends who are stylists Stephanie eventually started officially renting out her collection, turning her closet into a mini showroom for stylists across Los Angeles with lots of creativity but small budgets.
